About Jon Gustafson

Born in western New York, Jon’s family moved to Oregon when he was in the second grade.  Jon grew up in NW Portland and graduated from Lincoln High School with varsity letters in swimming, cross country, and track.  He studied Political Science at Southern Methodist University and was a member and officer of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

While traveling the country Jon discovered his passion for architecture and design and eventually earned his architecture degree from Portland State University.  Upon graduation, Jon was hired as an apprentice at a Lake Oswego remodeling company.  He immediately fell in love with the people and places of Lake Oswego.

Jon continued to work and save, ultimately buying the company that first hired him.  Jon’s love of remodeling spurred him to earn his real estate license so that he could buy/sell and invest in real estate.  In addition to speculative remodeling, and new construction, Jon has successfully developed several condominium projects.

Jon and his family

In 2005 Jon and his husband Michael, a middle school art teacher, bought and remodeled their first house in Lake Oswego.  Four houses later, they now live in the Old Town neighborhood with their daughter Georgia.  Jon enjoys working in the garden, snow boarding, volunteering at Hallinan elementary school and building LEGO with his daughter.
